my story

hi and thank you for visiting. born in Dublin, ireland but having spent a core of my childhood in county sligo, I have always had a passion for being hands-on, helping out my dad with whatever needed to done around our family home. This love for all things creative extended to making and crafting for my dolls to my family members and from knitting to making stationary for them.

in 2015, i decided it was the right time to pursue my dream.  my dream was to set up a workshop where i could create select pieces of stationery and honest, hand-pulled lino prints. three years later, i have a small but, steadily growing, sustainable business.  with a background in environmental management, it was always going to be a eco-friendly practice.

in 2016, i restored a treadle based press (affectionately named florrie) and today we are inseparable, we are a great team, a force to be reckoned with.  she prints with such precision and grace.  every day, the smell of ink, the whizz of the fly wheel, the 'ding' as the rollers ink the plate are little reminders of why i love what i do and why we all should fight for our dreams.  florrie, the letterpress platen was built in 1872 and uses no motor or electricity.  each piece is created with slow, deliberate execution.

having worked from my home over the first three years, I was so excited to move into my own dedicated studio in early 2018. the space sits within the donegal craft village and offers me the ideal space to create both letterpress and linoprint paper goods.
it was also in mid 2018 that I added a restored flatbed korrex proofing press that allows me to create larger prints. having searched the world for wooden type, I was both surprised and delighted to find twenty drawers of vintage wood type in storage just forty miles from donegal town.
